FISHING LICENSES
A Florida Non-Resident/Resident Fishing License is not required while on the Lucky Strike.

WHAT TO BRING?
SUNSCREEN
Even if it's cloudy.
SUNGLASSES/HAT
A hat and a pair of polarized sunglasses are recommended.
PROPER CLOTHES
Most days are shorts and flip flops but from October-April with a "cold" front, a jacket or hoodie and pants would be ideal. Check one of our local weather apps so you are comfortable and enjoy your trip!
FOOD/DRINKS
Food or Snacks for just in case you get Hangry! Bottled water is complimentary but if you'd like to bring beverages you can. Alcoholic beverages are allowed. Please no glass bottles.
YOUR OWN ROD/REEL
If you want to bring a fishing combo of your own that you want to test out. That's ok but let me know beforehand because of the limited amount of rod holders.
A GOOD ATTITUDE
I will do my best to keep us on fish during our trip and make it back to the dock safely. Most days were catching, and some days were fishing! A bad day fishing is still better than a good day at work!

CAN WE KEEP WHAT WE CATCH?
Hit the bait, hit the plate.
Yes, you can keep what you catch or you can release them to fight another day. Depending whether or not the fish is of legal size and in season for you to keep. The Florida Wildlife Commission has strict laws on many fish species in our area. Some fish like Snook, Redfish, and Trout are on a slot measurement system. Some fish are on a fork length or total length of the tail. I've had anglers that have never heard of a fish too big to keep but in our area it depends on which species. All legal catches that are harvested will do a polar plunge. At the end of our trip, I will fillet our catch and freezer bag it at no additional charge. Restaurants like The Feast and Waterfront on AMI will "cook your catch."

WEATHER
"The Fisherman know that the sea is dangerous and the storm terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for remaining ashore." -Vincent van Gogh
LESS THAN IDEAL WEATHER
Your safety is my top priority, having a memorable experience catching fish comes second. Thunderstorms in this area produce a lot of lightning during the summer months. Some days the storms move through quickly and we can adjust our trip accordingly if need be. Guides have a saying about wind "If it's blowing, were going." Really it depends on the anglers ability to handle the weather conditions. If on the day of your booked trip, the weather is unsafe/unfavorable the trip will be postponed for favorable weather or cancelled and hopefully I can reschedule you for another time. If I cant, I will get you in contact with another local guide with availability.
